About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how My Greece Atlas, created and operated by George Tatakis, handles information when you use the My Greece Atlas mobile application.
My Greece Atlas does not require a user account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or payment-card details in order to use the app.
Location
With your permission, the app may access your precise location while you are using it. Location is used for app functionality, such as showing relevant places and cultural material around you, sorting content by proximity, and improving map framing.
My Greece Atlas does not store your precise location in its own application database. Maps are provided using Google Maps Platform technology. The Google Maps SDK may process location, identifiers, usage information, crash information, and performance information as part of providing and improving its services.
Notifications
Push notifications are optional. If you enable them, My Greece Atlas stores technical information needed to deliver and manage notifications, including a randomly generated installation identifier, push-notification token, device platform, app version, time zone, notification preference, and registration timestamps.
This information is used only for app functionality, including delivering notifications you have chosen to receive and maintaining the reliability and security of the notification service.
Subscriptions and purchases
Digital subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. My Greece Atlas does not receive or store your payment-card or bank-account information.
RevenueCat is used to validate purchases, manage subscription entitlements, and provide subscription analytics. RevenueCat may process transaction history and related technical information needed to provide these services.
Purchases of physical photographic prints are processed through Shopify checkout. Information you provide at checkout is processed to complete and fulfil your order. These purchases do not unlock digital content or subscription access in the app.
Game Center
Apple Game Center is optional. If you sign in, the app uses your game-specific player identifier to associate your best Atlas Challenge round score and achievement progress with your Game Center player. This score and achievement progress are submitted to Apple for Game Center leaderboards and achievements. The app also lets you view Apple's Game Center dashboard.
Your Atlas progress is saved locally on your device, and you can play without signing in to Game Center.
Calendar
When you choose to add a cultural event to your calendar, My Greece Atlas uses the system calendar interface on your device. The app does not read your calendar contents or send your calendar data to My Greece Atlas servers.
Analytics and diagnostics
My Greece Atlas does not use advertising trackers and does not sell personal information. Third-party technology used to provide maps may collect limited identifiers, product interaction information, crash data, and performance data for analytics and app functionality.
This information is not used by My Greece Atlas for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Service providers
My Greece Atlas relies on a small number of service providers to operate the app. These include Google Maps Platform for maps, RevenueCat for digital subscriptions, Shopify for physical print checkout, Supabase for application infrastructure and notification registration, Expo for push notification delivery, and Apple for App Store subscriptions, Game Center, and platform services.
Data retention and deletion
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to operate the relevant feature, maintain security and reliability, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Notification registration information may be retained while it is needed to operate the notification service.
You may request deletion of information associated with your installation by contacting us at the address below. Data processed independently by Apple or other service providers is also subject to their respective retention and deletion policies.
Your choices
You can revoke location permission or notification permission at any time in your device settings. You can also disable My Greece Atlas notifications from within the app where that control is available.
App Store subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through your Apple Account subscription settings.
Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, or deletion of information relating to you, or object to certain processing, by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as My Greece Atlas evolves or as its services and legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its updated date.
